These terms are the agreement between you and Koko for your use of the app. By using Koko you accept them. Our Privacy Policy forms part of them.
Koko is a wellbeing and self-tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.
Never delay seeking medical advice, or disregard advice you have been given, because of something you read here. If your symptoms are severe, unusual or persistent, contact a healthcare professional. In an emergency call 999 or your local emergency number.
Koko must not be used to prevent pregnancy. It is not a contraceptive and offers no protection against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections.
Fertile windows and ovulation dates are statistical estimates calculated from the dates you enter. They are not measurements, and they are frequently wrong. If you are trying to avoid pregnancy, use an appropriate method of contraception and speak to a healthcare professional.
Predictions get better as you log more cycles, but they remain estimates and can be substantially wrong, particularly with irregular cycles or around illness, stress, travel, medication, contraception, pregnancy, breastfeeding or perimenopause.
Wellbeing, nutrition and relief content is general information, not personal advice. It is not tailored to your medical history, allergies or medication. Speak to a professional before making changes because of something the app said.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 you should have a parent or guardian’s permission.
We cannot recover your data. If you lose or reset your phone, or delete the app, your entries are permanently gone. We hold no copy and cannot restore one.
Anyone who can unlock your phone can open the app, so please keep a passcode set.
Koko offers free features and an optional subscription. What it includes is shown on the subscription screen before you buy.
Cancel through your Apple account settings, not through us: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the period you have paid for ends. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you.
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not:
You keep ownership of anything you write and send us. By sending it you allow us to read, store and use it to improve the app. If a suggestion leads to a change, that change belongs to us and no payment is owed. Please do not send anything confidential.
The app, its design, illustrations, text, audio and software are owned by us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app, and transfer ownership of nothing.
We try to keep the app working but do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features or the app itself, and may stop supporting older versions or operating systems. If we discontinue the app we will give reasonable notice where we can, so you have a chance to export your data.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided as is and as available, and we exclude all implied warranties including satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that predictions will be accurate.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any pregnancy, missed or delayed diagnosis, medical outcome or health consequence arising from your use of the app or reliance on its predictions or content.
We are also not liable for loss of data, profit or business, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for all claims in any 12 month period is limited to the greater of what you paid us in that period or £50. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
You may stop using the app and delete it at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your own law and may bring proceedings locally.
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app, though Apple may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary. Any claim about the app should be directed to us, not Apple.
